Literature: Roll of Thunder ROTHMC Chapter 5 Questions due today.

Read Chapter 6.

Questions:  Answer in complete sentences. Due Monday 3/30

Why is Cassie angry with Big Ma?

Describe Uncle Hammer.

Mrs. Logan tries to explain things to Cassie.  She says, “the way of things”. What does she mean?  How does she explain racism? See pages 95-97.

How does Uncle Hammer get away with crossing the bridge first even though the truck was already on it?  Why do you think he does this?

What is foreshadowed at the end of Chapter 6?

Remember to continue to work on the Independent Novel packet.  You will need to record in your reading log and write down vocabulary words you are unfamiliar with and then define them.

Vocab:  Unit 10 Vocabulary TEST  is assigned for this week through Sadlier.  You should have your passwords. If you encounter problems let me know.  You will have from Monday 3/23 8:00 am until Friday 3/27 at 5:00 pm.

Many of you have told me that you used to take the test online with Mrs. Gastmeier.  I figured we could try that and see how it works.
