                              After reading all 4 accounts of Jesus Crucifixion, rewrite the account in your own
                              Words as told from the point of view of the Cross.  You are to become the cross
                              Jesus was crucified on.  Explain what you heard, saw, felt.  This will be a good
                              lead in to Holy Week which starts next Sunday.  Your writing is due Friday.

5. Do a little research.  Find out what The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo are about. 
Now why does Mr. Logan chose these books for Stacey and Cassie?  What lesson do you think he is
trying to convey to them?
6.What things do you think the Logan’s enjoy at Christmastime-what are the sources of their
happiness?  Why do you think their Christmas meat and store-bought licorice are so important to
them?


Watch the following clip about Segregation and Jim Crow laws.  Pay special attention to the narrator
and the dates given. Jot down a few notes and thoughts as you view.  Write down any feelings you
may have. Do not turn this in to me. We will continue with this Thursday.

Literature: Roll of Thunder (ROTHMC) Vocabulary assignment due 3/30/2020
Assignment 3/31/2020: Read Chapter 7 and answer the following questions in complete sentences.
Why did Stacey give his coat to T.J.?  What does this show about Stacey and T.J.’s personalities?
How does Uncle Hammer handle this situation (involving Stacey’s coat), and why do you think he does this-it is because he’s a mean person?  What experiences might you guess Hammer has had to make him so wary of being taken advantage of by others? Think about his words, “....there’s a lot of folks don’t want you to make it.”
Why does Mr. Logan allow Mr. Morrison to tell his story in front of the children?  What things does he tell the Logan’s about?  Be specific.  You must record at least 3.
